Historic Hazlewood Castle is a perfect base for exploring the surrounding Yorkshire countryside with the Yorkshire Dales and Moors within easy reach. As well as being a hotel with 32 luxury bedrooms and suites, it is set in 77 acres of woodland and offers plenty of opportunity for getting outdoors.

For the adventurous types, Live for Today activities in the Castle grounds are just the ticket, test your skills at axe throwing, crossbows, air rifles and quad biking.

You can immerse yourself in the rich history of the Castle by taking one of our informative tours, find out all about the Vavasour family who eventually moved to New Zealand where they now produce wine, which we serve today in our restaurant.

There is plenty of space for getting outdoors with the family, explore our nature trails or try your hand at trail bikes, your 4 legged family members will also love to run about in the woods and gardens.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, why not enjoy afternoon tea on the terrace or dine in the Vavasour restaurant.
