Selby region Residents’ Festival 2025 – Now in it’s 5th year! PLUS……..your chance to WIN!

Fall in love with the Heart of Yorkshire and discover what is on your doorstep as the Selby region Residents’ Festival returns for one weekend only on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th April 2025.

The festival offers people in the Selby region the chance to celebrate, discover, and explore, the many gems right here on their doorsteps and be a tourist in their own backyard. From magnificent historic houses and beautiful gardens to quirky tea rooms, dog friendly pubs, and fabulous walks, the area has it all.

A wealth of businesses will once again throw open their doors with special discounts, offers, tours, entertainment, and more. Selby region includes the towns of Selby, Tadcaster, and Sherburn in Elmet. If you need a reminder about all of the fabulous towns and villages that make up the Selby region, here’s our map.

We are hard at work putting some great offers together for our residents and some exciting things are happening across the weekend. Look and listen out for the adverts on the radio, in the press, on the side of Arriva buses, and online from March.

Further details about the offers available across the weekend can be seen listed below and in the links to the businesses own pages. So, get the dates in your diaries and support your local businesses by taking advantage of the offers available for what is looking to be a great weekend of local activity.

Activities:

Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens, Stillingfleet – this year the garden opens for Selby Resident’s Festival on the morning of the Sunday 6th April between 10:00 and 12:00. Admission will be reduced at just £3 per person.

Food and Drink:

The Drovers Arms, Skipwith – Enjoy a 3 course meal on Saturday 5th April for £20 per person at the Drovers Arms. Make your selection from a specific menu – see the pub website for full details.
Doylys Tearoom, Bolton Percy – Free tea or coffee with any purchase from our cake cabinet. Available Saturday 5th April 2025 from 10am – 2pm
Harmony Tearoom, Stillingfleet – bottomless tea or coffee will be served with any meal between 10:30am and 3:30pm on Saturday 5th April
Oh My Graze, Camblesforth – receive a 20% discount on all purchases (eat in, take out, or deli purchases) on Saturday 5th April at Oh My Graze. Offer does not apply to outside catering options. Please quote “Residents’ Festival” to receive your discount.
Stables Tearoom at Carlton Towers – pre-book an Afternoon Tea in our ‘Stables Tearoom’ on either Saturday 5th or Sunday 6th April between 10am & 4pm and it will include a FREE glass of Carlton Towers Sparkling Rose, which is from the walled garden vineyard at Carlton Towers.
Walkers Kitchen, Tadcaster – Offer 1 – Full English Breakfast & a hot or cold drink for £10 per person. Offer 2 – Tea or coffee and Cake for 2 for £10. Offers available on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th April from 9am until 3pm and booking is advisable.
Roo’s Tearoom, Burn – Roo’s invite you to join them on Saturday 5th April 2025 for two fantastic offers: Offer 1, Small Breakfast & Drink for £10pp: Enjoy a delicious, freshly made breakfast and a hot drink of your choice for just £10pp. The perfect way to start your day and explore the local area. Offer 2, Coffee & Cake Deal for £6pp: Indulge in a freshly brewed coffee and one of our homemade cakes for only £6pp. A treat for yourself while you enjoy the cosy atmosphere of our café.
The Greyhound, Riccall – Join us on Saturday, the 5th, for our fantastic offer of 2 main meals for £20. The Offer is available from 5 pm to 7:30 pm when you pre-book your table. On Sunday, June 6th, we have our fantastic home-cooked Sunday lunch, served from 1 pm to 4 pm. Book a table and receive a free dessert. Choose from a slice of chocolate fudge cake or a whiskey bomb caramel pudding. These offers are only available for pre-booked tables.
Fairfax Distillery, Colton – Offer 1: free bottle of Toffee Vodka with every 70cl bottle of any of our spirits purchased over the Selby Residents Weekend. Simply visit our online shop on the Fairfax website and make your purchase, all we ask is that you write ‘Selby Residents Festival’ in the notes box. Offer 2: Any pizza from the pizza menu for £10pp , from 7.30-9.30pm on Saturday 5th April. Either eat in or takeaway available.
Digby’s café at Sherburn aero club – Receive 10% off your bill at Digby’s café on both Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th April. Offer available on all food and drink for the whole weekend. Please quote “Residentsfestival” to receive your discount.
Tim Hortons, Selby – 20% discount off all purchases over the course of the weekend – both Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th April. To claim the discount, please quote “Residents Festival” and the discount will be applied at the till.
The Lemon Tree, Tadcaster – Offer 1: free tea or coffee with either a Full Monty breakfast or Little Monty breakfast. Offer 2: cake and tea or coffee for £5.50 per person. Both offers valid on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th April.

Shopping:

Simply Devine hat shop, Tadcaster – Receive £21 off any hat or hatinator over the Residents’ weekend. Please quote “FESTIVAL2025” to receive your discount. You can also receive £10 off any special occasion handbag.
The Book Circle, Selby – 15% off everything for the whole weekend. Saturday 5th 09:30 until 17:00 and for the Residents’ Weekend ONLY, also open Sunday 6th April between 11:00 and 16:00.

Experiences:

Selby Abbey – Come and enjoy a special tour of the Tower of Selby Abbey at a reduced price as part of the Residents’ Weekend. You must be a resident of the Selby Area to book this tour. Behind the scenes tower towers. Guided Tours of the Central Tower (including ringing room, clock room, bell room and the view from the top – weather permitting) for a reduced price of £5 per person on Saturday 5th April.
