Art in the Tea Room – Chance Encounters by Jo Ruth
Jo Ruth will be exhibiting at stillingfleet Lodge for the first time this summer. She is a 'press-less printmaker' based in York making images of birds in our gardens, parks and countryside.
Opening Hours
1st to 31st August. Every Wednesday and Friday plus the first and third Saturdays and Sundays of the month bewteen 13:00 and 17:00.
Jo Ruth will be exhibiting at stillingfleet Lodge for the first time this summer. She is a ‘press-less printmaker’ based in York making images of birds in our gardens, parks and countryside. A long walk, whether it’s in the town or the country, always provides a wealth of inspiration.
We have called the exhibition Chance Encounters because her imagery aims to capture the beauty and surprise of the natural world and is her response to chance encounters with birdlife. The choice of colours and textures and the resulting compositions and are her response to the experience and memory of that particular moment.
The art exhibitions are located in the tea room and are open to the public during regular garden opening times.
Admission to the tea room and art exhibitions are free.
The works of art are available to purchase, please ask at the entrance hut.
