Simply Devine was born in 2004 – the year that Royal Ascot came to York. With the closure of many high street department stores, we have become a destination shop to where customers travel from far and wide for their special occasion headwear.
Our hats have appeared on heads throughout the world – at race meetings in Kentucky, Dubai and Australia. We even sold a hat to pop singer Christina Aguilera in California.
We have headwear in every size and shape, and our shop is a rainbow of colour, with something to suit everyone.
The shop is owned by Liz Devine-Wright, who has created her own collection of Yorkshire-designed headwear, but she also stocks other major brands to ensure she has the latest in design and shade. Liz also designs for other specialist boutiques throughout the country, from Glasgow to Guernsey, Luton to Londonderry.
The shop also has an exclusive small collection of mothers of the bride/groom outfits and accessories for that special occasion.
Simply Devine has been the wedding accessories supplier of the year for three consecutive years and was also a retailer of the year in the Forward Ladies women’s business awards.
