Getting to the Heart of Yorkshire
The Heart of Yorkshire area is centrally located, with great road, rail and air connections across the UK.
We’re super connected, situated right at the Heart of Yorkshire and at the centre of our neighbouring great Yorkshire cities, Leeds, Sheffield, York and Hull.
By Car – We are served by excellent roads. The A1/A1(M) motorway provides fast, easy access from the North and the South, with the M62 running East to West through the south of the region, providing easy access from Manchester, Leeds and Hull. The A19, A63 and A64 provide scenic routes through the Heart of Yorkshire, to Leeds, York and the Yorkshire Coast.
By Train – with stations located in Selby, South Milford, Sherburn in Elmet and Church Fenton, the region is well connected with national operators, including Northern Trains and Transpennine Express, running direct services to and from Manchester, Leeds, Hull, York and London. Hull Trains run a direct service into Selby from London, which takes around 2 hours.

By Air and Sea – The region is within easy travelling distance of several airports: Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle, East Midlands and Teesside; all served by regular domestic and international flights.

Explore the Heart of Yorkshire by bus and enjoy getting around the region, or to neighbouring towns and cities of York, Leeds, Doncaster and Wetherby. Britain’s most scenic bus route between Leeds and the Yorkshire Coast runs right through the heart of our historic brewery town, Tadcaster.
