The Dovecote Barns, multi-award winning sustainable green business in Kelfield near Selby, can offer couples an exclusive special intimate wedding celebration in a beautiful rustic venue with fully licenced bar.
Although you cannot get ‘officially married’ there, you can have a humanist celebrant wedding ceremony and reception with closest friends and relations. The Long Hall is the name of the venue where up to 56 guests can be seated for the celebratory dinner and there is room for dancing and live music.

With three rustic barns available for your wedding, Bert’s Barrow in Hillam offers a fabulous place to celebrate your special day in whichever style you wish in a countryside setting. Seating up to 300 for the evening celebration with use of the paddock and courtyard too.

Situated in a bright and modern building, there is one room seating up to 100 guests. There is a large entrance hall where your guests can meet before the ceremony, with an adjacent café available most days. There are photo opportunities in the grounds after the ceremony – do feel free to throw your bio-degradable confetti in the grounds.
Squires Café Bar was originally known as ‘Squires Milk Bar’ when it first opened back in 1954. Situated in the small town of Sherburn in Elmet in North Yorkshire it quickly became a popular destination for motorcyclists, with many coming from all over Yorkshire, the North of England and all parts of the UK. Whether you are having a small wedding of up to 50 guests or a massive wedding for up to 400 guests, Squires can provide a complete package for you as the function room is in two parts which can expand to cope with guest numbers. Their in-house catering department can cope with anything you wish to provide for your guests.
The Owl Hotel in Hambleton — a converted manor house incorporating 22 high-quality en-suite bedrooms which also has a function room licensed to hold civil ceremonies, making them a great venue for your wedding day.

The Normans takes its name from Normans Farm, a beautiful 18th-century working farm on which the venue is set. The farm has been in the family for three generations. But The Normans isn’t just ‘another barn venue’. They have re-vamped and re-imagined the original farm buildings and fold yard, combining rustic charm with slick contemporary features to create a stylish and stunning space that is purpose-built for weddings.
Woolas Barn is a unique rural wedding venue, made up of three lovingly restored buildings, originally built in 1863. But Woolas Barn isn’t just a wedding venue, it’s still a fully working farm. Blending rustic character with modern details, the venue is comprised of four seamlessly linked areas – the Stables, the Courtyard, the Granary and the Lambing Shed.
